At EKS Solutions, we believe that we all have our own strengths. Ours is to take complex problems and break them down into pieces in order to understand how best to put them back together in more efficient and robust ways - to see things differently. Our goal is not just to provide a different perspective, but to help resolve challenges and take ideas to the next level by implementing actionable change with you.
EKS Solutions is a WBE and WOSB certified consulting agency built on the skills and expertise of Evaine K. Sing. With over a decade of community-based design work, inclusive engagement expertise, training in the public policy realm, and experience leading in the nonprofit sector, Evaine is well versed in community challenges at the hyper local and regional levels. With a diverse background in the corporate, government, nonprofit, and academic sectors, she often serves as a translator of complex problems into feasible change.
Evaine has a deep and personal knowledge of community issues and the effort it takes to invest, mediate, and sustain long-term change. But she is more than what she knows - Evaine believes in working efficiently in order to maximize impact. She is motivated by process improvement and believe strong systems enable growing networks. Her strengths lie in breaking down complex problems into actionable steps so that teams can focus on their own talents to do more with less, as is often necessary in small or under-resourced organizations. Evaine enjoys working with those who are passionate about what they do and want to help support the foundations of the work that has come before.
Katie is a licensed landscape architect in PA and NY with experience in a wide range of project types and scales, from public parks and plazas to large-scale greenway, trail and multimodal planning projects. She has worked on park and trail projects from the design process and conceptual design through the details of implementation and construction - with a particular focus on the life and use of public spaces and urban environments. Katie believes that improving a community’s quality of life and creating vibrant places starts with providing people with equitable access to the natural environment.
Currently, Katie works with Friends of the Riverfront as a Trail Manager Project Manager. Evaine and Katie have worked together on several projects as she assists EKS Solutions with creative landscape design and construction administration of community-based projects.
